Oetta admits to cheating in 'Snakes and Ladders'
17 April 2023 08:23 UTC
Oetta, the first leader of Sector 22's Local Committee, challenged some people within the sector to multiple rounds of popular board game "Snakes and Ladders". The catch? The board which the other players were to play on is Oetta's own board, which is heavily rigged in her favour. As a result of this rigging, Oetta won at least 60% (with the estimated actual percentage being approximately 75%) of rounds of the game played, even though the game is completely luck-based, and no sole person should be winning that high a percentage of rounds of the game.
Those who have been invited for rounds of "Snakes and Ladders" by Oetta, likely so they could then lose against her and boost her ego due to the board being rigged, include Remiger and all 4 members of the DCLL grouping within the sector. During Oetta's game with DCLL, she won, leaving DCLL to continue with the game. Leattosh then left the game, with Oetta taking over him and winning a second time.
In a round of the game played with Lagasel (a member of DCLL) and Remiger a few days after the round with DCLL in which Oetta won twice, Oetta finally admitted to the board being rigged in her favour, and said the few times she lost were to give the other players the false impression that the board was not rigged. This admission came after Lagasel and Remiger directly confronted Oetta about the clearly rigged board during the round, and Remiger eventually won the round.
